Chocolate Almond Cake

This is not an Ayurveda approved recipe, however a real favourite for birthdays in our home. Its quick and easy and gluten free.

Serves 12

Ingredients

210 grams Dark Organic Chocolate

200 grams Butter

5 Eggs

200 grams Almond Flour (or just ground almonds)

150 grams Sugar (Raw )

1 1/2 tsps Baking Powder

Directions

Melt chocolate with half the butter and set aside.

Cream together egg yolks and sugar add the remaining butter and mix.

Mix Almond flour with baking powder set aside.

Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.

Mix all the ingredients and finally fold in the egg whites.

Do not over mix. Bake at 180 C for 35 - 40 minutes.

I like to check the cake after 30 minutes.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
