Poached Carrots w/Ginger

The Sacral Chakra, also know as 'Svadhisthana' (meaning the dwelling place of the self) is our creative center. Energize your sacral chakra with this simple and nourishing recipe. Carrots are rich in Vitamin A and full of fibre, add to that ginger the “toxin buster” and cayenne pepper that helps digestion in the stomach, increases circulation and reduces acidity. 

Ingredients :

12 thin  Dutch Carrots washed and peeled
 a few ginger skins and knobs that have been discarded.
 1 cup of water
 Salt to taste
 1/4 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper
 1 Tbsp. of Butter

 Directions

In a wide pan place all the carrots cover with the water and ginger. Bring to a rolling boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for 7 minutes or longer until the carrots are cooked but firm.

Drain the extra water, remove the ginger and as the water reduces, add butter and glaze the carrots. Serve with a sprinkle of Cayenne pepper.
