Chia seeds are small in size but large in nutrient density. High in Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, low carbohydrate content, rich in fibre, calcium and Iron.
Yields 4 Servings
1/2 cup chia seeds (black or white)
2 cups unsweetened coconut milk
1 tsp. maple syrup
1/4 tsp. cardamom seeds or 4 pods
1/8 tsp. saffron threads
1 tsp. warm water to soak the saffron.
Fresh fruit
Soaked slivered almonds
In a mason jar mix all the ingredients and shake well. Leave overnight to set in the refrigerator.
Serve with fresh berries or diced mangoes and soaked slivered almonds.
