Broccoli & Cabbage Stir Fry
Broccoli and Cabbage (Brasicca) are packed with nutrients, anti- inflammatory,high in fiber, and keep thestomach satisfied for a long time. Pacifies both Kapha and Pitta Best to consume it cooked or steamed. The taste is bitter and works well to balance Kapha and Pitta doshas. Since the effect is dry and light it can aggravate Vata.
Vata is balanced with addition of sesame oil and lemon. You can also add some cashews.

Ingredients
1 cup Green Cabbage (finely chopped about 1/4 of a medium sized cabbage)
1 cup Broccoli (Florets cut small)
1/2 cup Broccoli Stems (Finely diced)
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Ginger (finely diced)
2 Spring Onion (Cut the white part only into small pieces)
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Sea Salt & Black Pepper (to taste)
1 Handfuls Fresh Coriander (chopped)
1/2 Lemon
Directions
Wash and finely chop the cabbage. Then take a small head of broccoli and cut into very small
florets. Keep the greenest part of the stems. Peel and cut into very small pieces.
In a heavy bottomed pan warm the sesame oil add ginger and the spices. As the seeds start to
splutter add the broccoli stems cook for 2 mins add the spring onion and the cabbage. Cook
for another 3 minutes and add the broccoli florets. Sprinkle a little water and cook for another
few minutes until the vegetables are cooked but still crunchy.
Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle the sesame seeds. Add the lemon juice and garnish
with fresh coriander.
